Seven Gates Audit
To guard the heart by weekly examining the seven entrances through which a founder's heart gets invaded, and setting one practical safeguard for each.
What it is for
To guard the heart by weekly examining the seven entrances through which a founder's heart gets invaded, and setting one practical safeguard for each.
How to practice
- Eyes: what am I consuming?
- Mouth: what am I declaring?
- Time: what does my calendar reveal?
- Money: what does my spending reveal?
- Pride: where do I resist correction?
- Exhaustion: where am I vulnerable for lack of rest?
- Comparison: where am I running somebody else's race?
- For each gate answer: is this gate well guarded, partly open, or unprotected? What comes through it that shouldn't? What do I need to do this week to strengthen the guard?
- For each gate, define one practical safeguard.
- Do this in writing. Honesty on paper is harder to run from than honesty in your head.
