Prayer of Realignment
Chapter 4 — Beyond Presence: presence without communion
Lord Jesus,
I confess that I have practiced presence without communion. That I attended Your house without letting You govern me. That I knew about You without truly knowing You.
I want more than that. I want Your presence to govern my Monday, my negotiations, my conversations with my wife and my children. I want "Christ is Lord" to be a statement about how I live, and not only about what I believe.
Teach me to depend on You. To seek Your face before I seek solutions. To trust Your sufficiency when everything around me shouts that it is not enough.
Realign my center. Bring back to You what has fallen out of orbit.
